Manila Bulletin blunder: Plain idiocy or intentional?

Standard

Is this just a plain oversight? Where were the editors? No proofreading done with the caption made for the following photo? Was it intentional? Or plain idiocy on the part of the editors?

One could not anymore find this photo in the Manila Bulletin‘s website. I’m sure MB also recalled the supplement that came with today’s (August 6, 2009) issue of the daily.

As of this writing, I still haven’t heard of any reactions from the Arroyo’s camp.

  3. Good morning mates, sorry for interruption. We are desperately seeking for brand new or second-hand walk in freezers, at a good price. I need this cooling kitchen equipment because I’m trying to open up shelter locations around the world in favor of homeless people and I need a place with eatery, kitchen area & proper kitchen gear to store food. In case you know how I can find it or would like to donate your refrigeration equipment, please contact me. Tnx. Enjoy the rest of your day!

  4. Recently in Spain held a demonstration called Operation Teddy in which states that downloading music from the Internet is not a crime. The protesters gathered at the headquarters of the General Society of Authors and Editors of Spain (SGAE), using megaphones, laptops and posters announcing that in that space was downloading music from the Internet as part of the protest. The main purpose of this demonstration is to show that sharing files over the network means to promote freedom and technical knowledge, and should not be subject to copyright laws. The name “Operation Teddy” was because the group of protesters downloaded a song by Teddy Bautista, called Get On Your CNES.According to Xavier, a member of a group of hackers Metabolik laboratory belonging to the states “We claim the free flow of culture and technique against the digital divide that produce the lords of the copyright. A sustained breach of the outdated cultural industry and copy laws. “Is it validates the idea that downloading music and files from the Internet, is only one way to encourage technological culture?

  5. The new distribution channel consisting in offering downloadable movies over the Internet is consolidating. Seems to begin to overcome the fears that the producers have had to this way of distributing content, in part, thanks to new anti-piracy systems (DRM), and partly I guess because of the successes already harvested by the Apple i-Tunes , through which has been offering legal downloads of music and later TV series. i-Tunes has demonstrated that this new form of distribution is not only a cost effective solution, but is destined to become the way to provide content for the future. In the United States already offers the service of Internet movie downloads such as Movielink and CinemaNow. The latter recently has added to its services from that after you download the movie burned to DVD for viewing on any player (even the titles offered are mediocre).

  6. Write A growing number of sites will pay for your articles or blog posts. Associated Content and Helium will “pay for performance” based on page views for just about anything you want to write about. Articles on specific topics they’re looking for can earn direct payments up to about $200. The rates are probably low for established writers, but if you’re trying to break into the field and have time on your hands, they’re a great way to start. Also, a lot of companies are looking for part-time bloggers. They may pay per post or on a steady contract. Our Weblogs Guide posts blogging jobs weekly in the forum
